The 36-metre Heesen motor yacht Opus II has arrived at the KRM Yacht Refit & Rebuild facility for a refit. Opus II’s interior and exterior areas will be redesigned by the studio Red Yacht Design, and the refit is due to be completed within 18 months.
The refit will involve repainting her hull and superstructure, replacing all teak decks with Esthec, rebuilding the transom area and making an extension to include a three-metre swimming platform.
KRM Yacht & Red Yacht Design will also be reconfiguring her flybridge area to add a new Jacuzzi, a bar, and a sun bathing area. The refit also includes redesigning and manufacturing a new hardtop, the installation of a new audio and visual entertainment system.
At a volume of 271 GT, the yacht is capable of hosting as many as six staterooms across a three stateroom layout, consisting of one owner’s suite and two double staterooms. The refit will see Opus II’s three stateroom layout get upgraded to five staterooms total. A new captain’s cabin will also be added to Opus II’s wheelhouse
